haha cute! I love how you cut it open all nice with scissors ;-) I was shaking and crying when I opened my Zambia one (especially since I was still emotional from the Lesotho ordeal) lol. Yay for getting your invite on Christmas Eve and Yay for Uganda!!!

haha the self control goes along with my "fulfillment is the death of desire" mantra - I knew once I opened it, everything would change :) I was savoring a little of the last 5 months of anticipation a liiiittle bit longer.
And Christina: I AM going to Vlog (I hadn't heard that phrase before!) I bought a flip camera on black friday just so I could do that! I probably won't do it as often as I just write or post pictures, but I want to at least do some introductions to daily life and stuff.. "Look, an elephant!" that kind of thing :D

Best. Christmas. Ever.

Eeek I'm so excited for you, congratulations! I just finished a book called "First comes love, then comes malaria." Have you heard of that one? It's by a woman who did a year of PC in Ecuador and then moved to Uganda with her husband. It's a bit old, but it was really fun to read and gave a nice view of the culture.

On top of all of the congratulations (which are certainly in order), I wanted to let you know that my friends have a nonprofit based in Uganda (Krochet Kids International www.krochetkids.org) and, if I do end up getting my nomination to SSA (fingers crossed) that one of my vacations will be to their compound in Uganda! Soooooo maybe I'll see you there! :)
